I’ve been in L.A. for 17 years, and when I first came here, I never would have imagined living in downtown. A combination of factors – the development of L.A. LIVE being a major contributor – has spurred a tremendous transformation of downtown L.A., making it a desirable place to live with a lot to offer.I decided to purchase a residence because I’ve been involved in the project (on the development side) for some time, but also because I think it’s a great opportunity to experience urban living. I grew up in Manhattan, New York, so I’ve already had that experience, but my wife, who grew up in Orange County, California, wanted to experience the urban lifestyle. We currently live on the West side and are remodeling our home, so The Ritz-Carlton Residences at L.A. LIVE will serve as a primary home for me, my wife and three kids during the next year.L.A. LIVE offers a unique living experience – the convenience of having the best in entertainment, restaurants and nightlife outside your door, literally. While we’ve only been in our new home for a few days, everyone who’s visited has been thoroughly impressed. Southern Californians are not used to seeing this type of residential project – there’s nothing like it in the Los Angeles area.The quality of The Residences is excellent – they’re well-constructed with nice finishes and the staff offers tremendous service. For those considering a purchase at The Residences, I would say to take these three things into account: 1) everything that L.A.
